Prices, opening hours and menu items 2023 (2023)

Updated January 1, 2023

Excalibur's Busy Buffet is one of the more affordable buffet optionslas vegas strip. It's only open for snacks, but that will change soon.

Either way, the demand is there because this resort (and the entire Las Vegas Strip) is growing. Excalibur itself is the sixth largest resort in Las Vegas, with nearly 4,000 hotel rooms, the largest number of all hotel rooms in the world.

Prices, opening hours and menu items 2023 (1)

By most accounts, the buffet at the Excalibur Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas does a great job of getting guests in and out while giving them a buffet experience at a very reasonable price.

Formerly known as the Round Table Buffet, the resort's buffet is now simply known as "The Buffet," and underwent a renovation in late 2014 that cost more than $6.2 million.

It's upstairs on the second floor (Castle Walk level), above the Casino level, just before you arrive atExcalibur Food Court.

(YouTube's Derek and Vegas' Catherine review the Excalibur Buffet.)

The nearly 35,000-square-foot restaurant can accommodate up to 610 guests. The restaurant has a colorful red carpet, crimson and black chairs and booths, and high ceilings with modern art details.

Many reviewers have remarked on the relatively short lines here compared to some of the more expensive big name buffets in Las Vegas.

The low price here is a big selling point and a convenience factor for thousands of guests staying in Excalibur for fun. Many of them access the buffet after receiving it based on room packages or points earned on the MGM Rewards card.

Although renovated, it's more of an "old school" buffet, as the items on the menu are usually served in one large pan, rather than the individual servings you'll see in fancier buffets.

These are the current standard buffet prices. However, prices increase over holiday weekends, which include Labor Day weekend and other special events like Super Bowl weekend.

andaldultChildren (5-11 years old)
Monday to Thursday (8:00 - 15:00)$28.99$16.99
Friday, Saturday and Sunday (8-3)$31.99$17.99

Children under 4 are free, children 12 and over pay adult rates.

Also, these prices do not include the 8.38% Clark County Sales Tax. On the plus side, (I guess) the buffet is now completely self-service, so you don't have to tip at all. So the total after-tax cost of a weekend buffet for two is $69.34.

You should also note that withmgm buffetAmong other MGM Resorts buffets, holiday weekend prices go up.

The exact increase is subject to change, but typically a holiday buffet increases between $4 and $8 per person. For example, the 2023 New Year's Eve Brunch Buffet will cost $35.99.

breakfast

For breakfast, you'll find the basics: chicken fried steak, biscuits and gravy, and of course eggs, with room for custom omelettes. There is also a place to order pancakes.

Prepared dishes include huevos rancheros, eggs benedict, caramelized plantains, chorizo, turkey sausage, applewood smoked bacon.

On the sweeter side, you'll find strawberry pancakes and cinnamon toast, as well as a variety of donuts and other baked goods.

lunch and dinner (This was our list before the Covid closure. We will update when dinner reservations come back).

There are six main stations on the lunch and dinner side.

As of this writing, the Luxor Buffet still has leg upgrade options (weekends only, I believe). If you pay an extra $9.99, you'll get a pound of snow crab legs.

As for salads, there are no ready made salads. You can choose from three different types of lettuce and add your usual dressings and toppings. There are many cold salads, such as chicken and crab salad and quinoa salad. The two soups I visited most recently were the chicken noodle soup and the minestrone soup. bread

The weekend buffet, not found in the cheaper dinner buffets, includes grilled steaks, crab cakes, spinach veal artichokes and Cordon Blue chicken.

desert

The buffet in the Excalibur dessert area is actually a separate island, located slightly away from the main area. Maybe this makes you want to take the extra step to burn calories before you start.

Either way, at this dessert island, you can wander around and sample a variety of desserts, including the highlight: made-to-order crepes.

Here, you can choose your favorite toppings, such as caramelized apple chunks, blueberries, pineapple, strawberries, etc., as the chef prepares them in front of you and then drizzles chocolate sauce on top (if you prefer).

The island's other dessert section has a variety of pies and cakes, including banana pie, chocolate cream, carrot cake, and a selection of sugar-free cakes and pies. There is also a small selection of gluten-free sweets.

Along with the standard scoop of soft serve ice cream (chocolate and vanilla only), you'll find the famous chocolate lava cake and bread pudding.

Individually served portions include biscuits, brownies, individual caramel small plates with fresh berries, puffs, chocolate desserts, brioche cups and cream puffs.

In the modest beverage buffet you can find Pepsi products, iced tea, coffee and some juices.

Finally, you can also choose a one-time buffet box refill for $19.99. This price applies to each buffet. For holiday pricing, the takeaway box is $21.99.

All you can drink from the Excalibur buffet

Weekend brunch on Friday, Saturday and Sunday included unlimited champagne and mimosas, but no longer.

All Day Wristband Options

notes: This option is still available. We'll update this section when it returns.

As part of the "Take 2" option at both resorts, you can purchase wristbands that give you all-day access to the Excalibur Buffet andLuxor Buffet.

Prices for essentially all-you-can-eat tickets are as follows:

Monday-Thursday: Adults $41.99 ($26.99 Children)

friday to sunday: $48.99 ($26.99 for kids)

Considering that for the week, all three Excalibur meals cost $67.97 pre-tax ($41.99 pre-tax for the wristband) individually, that's a solid savings while getting you a very affordable price in Sin City way of dining.

Of course, the downside is that you might tire of the buffet by the end of the day, but the low average price of $13.99 per meal should be a consolation.

All-day passes go up to $49.99 on holiday weekends.
