Shein won't accept my card - tried and tested quick fix
When paying on Shein, there are a few things to keep in mind to make your transaction a success.
First, enter the correct card details and double check that you have sufficient funds in your bank account.
If everything works, check that the card you are using is supported by Shein, as they usually only support Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, American Express, and Diners Club, so other cards may not work.
However, after checking all of these, ifYou still can't use your card on SheinThen read on to learn how to fix the problem so your transactions run smoothly.
Problem #1 — Shein server down

Shein serves more than 220 countries and millions of customers every day, so high traffic on its website may cause temporary server downtime and some payment transactions will not be processed.
In addition to traffic inflow, other reasons such as system errors, data center power outages, payment gateway problems, etc. may also lead to inability to pay on Shein.
Due to Shein's location-based business model, these server performance issues may affect specific regions and not others, so obtaining status reports from Shein may not be easy.
quick fix
If you have purchased Shein, please wait for the Shein server to refresh. This usually happens quickly, and it doesn't take more than an hour or two for the payment page to return to normal.
However, if you're a new user and you're still having issues after a server reset, check out these other questions and see if their solutions work for you. you can also checkUpDown RadarFind out if Shein's servers are working properly.
Issue #2 — Card information entered incorrectly

Another common problem is entering wrong card details into the Shein payment gateway. If any information is incorrect, the transaction will not take place and the order will not be confirmed.
The information Shein needs to process an order is as follows:
- Cardholder's Name
- needle card
- card number
- card expiry date
- CVV
- Billing Address
If you enter any of these details incorrectly, the system will not be able to verify the transaction and you will be notified of a failed transaction on the payment page.
quick fix
Make sure the information you enter matches the information on the card and that the billing address is the same as the address associated with the credit/debit card.
Also, a common mistake most people make is using CVV. Some cards have different CVV iterations, either CDC, CIN or CVV2.
They are all the same, the last 3-4 digits on the back of the card.
Issue #3 — Bug in Shein Mobile App

If you are having payment issues while using the Shien mobile app, and you know the Shein servers are running, then the issue you are experiencing may be due to a bug in the app itself.
Errors in the Shein mobile application are not uncommon, and there are several reasons why your order might not go through, such as a coding error or an unknown error in the payment instrument.
Luckily, there are plenty of quick fixes when it comes to mobile apps, and here are a few that have worked in the past.
quick fix 1
First realize that this may be a temporary failure and trying to close the deal again may work. To do this, empty the cart, add the product to the cart again and try to pay again.
quick fix 2
Another quick fix is to restart the app on your phone or tablet. This helps to restore the application smoothly and will reload any data that may have been lost or lost during the previous session.
quick fix 3
Another helpful quick fix is to log out and back in to the Shein app. Similar to restarting the application, logging out and logging in will reset the session and eliminate any errors or payment-related issues that may have occurred. To do this, open the Shein app, click on "Profile" and then "Sign Out".
Quick fix 4
The next fix is to clear the cache of the Shein mobile app. Clearing the cache will clear temporary history or memory stored on the phone and will resolve most issues that prevent apps from accepting your payment information.
Quick fix 5
If the above fixes fail, you can simply update the software to the latest version to get rid of the application error. Shein has released new updates to its mobile apps that include bug fixes and address any outstanding issues with its platform and services.
Quick fix 6
Finally, if all else fails and after 24 hours you still can't solve the problem, please file an issue on Sheina (mobile and desktop) and flag the issue you're having. The card will be checked by a Sheina employee in its technical department who will provide you with a solution within a few hours.
Problem #4 — There is something wrong with your card

There are several reasons why your card won't work with Shein, but the most common issue is that your card isn't supported by Shein.
Shein lists the cards it supports on the payment and checkout pages. The same information is available on Shein's customer support page and they only support certain cards on their portal such as Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, Amex, and Diners Club.
Another problem with your card could be that it's not enabled for international transactions and can only be used domestically.
quick fix 1
In this case, the first thing to do is check that your card is enabled for international transactions and see if your card is listed on their website. If not, then you should opt for other payment cards as you will face many transaction issues.
quick fix 2
Another solution is to choose another payment method, such as PayPal. This is a great solution if you don't have a backup card on hand, you can transfer funds to your PayPal account and then use PayPal as your payment method to pay for your Sheina order.
Issue #5 — Unauthorized Card Transactions

Sometimes it takes your bank some time to approve the payment, especially if it exceeds a certain amount. When a payment is processed on Shein, an authorization notification is first sent to your bank to approve the order amount, and then your account is debited.
However, when there is a delay at the bank, it can take hours or even a full day to process an authorization that normally takes seconds. This is usually the case for international Mastercard orders.
quick fix
The only solution here is to wait for your bank to approve the transaction. This may take some time, but if after 24 hours you are still not authorized or approved, please contact your bank to expedite the process. In this case, you may have to wait a day or two before attempting to replace your order.
Problem #7 — Your card has run out

One of the possible reasons for a failed Shein payment could be that your debit card does not have enough funds or your credit card has reached its limit.
In this case, you will receive a message saying "Insufficient funds, please try another card" or "You have exceeded your credit limit, please use another payment method" when you try to pay.
quick fix
In this case, the only recourse is to try making a purchase with your credit card the next day or contact your bank to see if they can increase your spending limit.
For customers using debit cards, please ensure there is sufficient balance, or if you are making an international payment, please check that the balance is sufficient to cover the order and any currency conversion charges.
Problem #8 — Your card has expired

The final question is whether your debit/credit card has expired or is about to expire. In this case, the card will not be usable on Shein and no orders can be confirmed with the card.
quick fix
Use a different payment card, or if you do not have a payment card, contact your bank and ask them to send a new card to your address.
Change your payment method to Sheina

If the above steps are not working for you, the best solution is to change your payment method iUse one of the other ways Shein offersFor exampleDebit card, Paypal, Venmo, AfterPay or Google Pay.
However, if you would like to use another credit card instead of the one that limits your purchases, follow the steps below.
- Log in to your registered Shein account
- Select the product you want to buy
- Add product to cart and proceed to checkout page
- Select Credit/Debit Card from the list of payment options
- Delete the old card number and proceed to enter new information
- Click the "Remember this card for later" checkbox.
- continue to complete the payment
